Yes, ZisuGen is completely free for all Sri Lankan students. This includes the AI Tutor, digital library, and all ecosystem features. It's funded as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by SoftGen.

How does the AI Tutor work?

The AI Tutor uses advanced language models to answer your academic questions 24/7. You can ask questions in Sinhala, Tamil, or English, and receive instant, curriculum-aligned explanations for subjects from Grade 5 to A/L.

How can I donate books to students?

Simply create an account on ZisuGen and use the Smart Matching feature. Our AI will connect you with students who need the specific textbooks you want to donate. You can arrange delivery directly with the student.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Database

All user data is securely stored on Google Firebase.

File Storage

Images (Profile pictures, Bank Slips, Learning Materials) are stored using Cloudinary and Firebase Storage.

Encryption

Sensitive information, including passwords and student contact numbers, is encrypted.

Access Control

Student Data: A student's contact information is HIDDEN from other students and public visitors. It is visible only to the specific Teacher the student has enrolled with and the Super Admin. Teacher Data: Teacher profiles are public only after passing a strict manual verification process by our team.

4. Payment and Financial Information

We facilitate two types of transactions:

Types of Transactions

Teacher Subscriptions: Payments made by teachers to ZisuGen for platform usage.
Class Fees (Student to Teacher): Students upload bank transfer slips to access classes.

Important Disclaimer

ZisuGen acts solely as a verification platform for these slips. The actual financial transaction occurs directly between the Student and the Teacher's bank account. ZisuGen does not hold, process, or manage the funds transferred from Students to Teachers. Therefore, we are not liable for refund disputes regarding class fees.

5. Teacher Verification & Content Moderation

Verification

To prevent fraud, no Teacher profile is made public until it is manually reviewed and approved by the ZisuGen Super Admin team.

Content

ZisuGen is strictly an educational platform. We do not allow the sharing of irrelevant, offensive, or non-educational content. Any user violating this (e.g., sharing inappropriate links or personal contact info in public feeds) will be banned immediately.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our business:

Google Firebase: Authentication and Database.
Cloudinary: Image optimization and storage.
Resend: For sending transactional emails (OTPs, Alerts).
Google Analytics: To analyze website traffic and improve user experience (Cookies may be used).

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Account Deletion

Users may request to delete their accounts. Upon deletion, personal profile data is removed from the active view.

Retention

However, we retain transaction records (Payment Slips/History) and access logs for a specific period as required by law for tax and security purposes.

8. Children’s Privacy

Since our platform serves students, including minors (under 18), we require Guardian Details during registration. We recommend that students under 18 use the platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

9. Marketing & Communication

We may use your email or phone number to send important system updates (OTPs, Class cancellations). In the future, we may send promotional updates regarding new features, which you can opt out of at any time.
